Welcome back to the new school year!
It has been lovely to welcome the children back to school and to have the school filled with their positive energy!
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, social distancing rules and gatherings mean that we are unable to meet together for our normal 'Meet the Teacher' meetings. Instead, our staff have worked hard to prepare their information PowerPoints and accompanying videos for you to view at your leisure.
In these videos and below are the email addresses for your child's Class Teacher and Phase Leader. Whilst Class Teachers are the first point of contact, please contact the office in the event of any urgent or emergency messages (e.g. changes to pick up) as teachers are not able to check emails during teaching hours. Thank you for your consideration in managing the workload of staff by keeping emails brief and during hours of the school day. Teachers are not required to respond to emails outside of school hours, at weekends or in the holidays.
Nursery and Reception
Pupils in Nursery and Reception will begin homework in October. Homework will be uploaded to the Tapestry online platform where families can upload photos of the children and their learning. It is an expectation that by the end of September, all families will be accessing and interacting on the Tapestry platform. For further information, please contact your child's class teacher.
Years 1 - 6
Pupils in Year 1 - 6 will begin homework WC 14th September. Homework will be uploaded to Google Classrooms. There are a variety of ways that home learning can be completed on Google Classrooms. Some activities might be quizzes that are self - marking. Other activities may require you to complete something on paper or on a word document. In this instance, pupils can photograph their work or upload the document to Google Classrooms. We are not collecting in homework books for marking.
