History is a foundation subject that is dedicated to not just learning about life in the past, but aiming for enquiry-led approaches. These skills are derived from the National Curriculum and are incorporated into class topics.
We also explore these skills further in special events such as Black History Month.
Friday 8th May, people all over the UK and in other countries of the world will turn their thoughts and attention to the 75th anniversary of VE day. This very important and historical day, back in 1945, marked the end of World War II in Europe. We would like you all to take part in some VE day learning.

Captain Tom Moore
We are sure that lots of you have seen on the news recently the story of the heroic Captain Tom Moore. Captain Tom Moore recently completely 100 laps of his garden to raise Money for the National Health Service Charities. Captain Moore, a soldier during World War II, wanted to raise £1000 for the charities however he has currently raised over £32 million! What a tremendous effort! Well done and thank you Captain Tom.
