Walk in to nature, with God
The week beginning Monday 18th May marks a very special week for a number of reasons at Sacred Heart.
1) 5th Anniversary of Laudato Si, Pope Francis' letter inviting us to care for creation - our common home
2) Walk to School Week, where we raise awareness of walking for all (This has officially moved until the Autumn term)
3) International Day on Fri 22nd May, where we celebrate the rich and diverse culture of our school and learn about specific countries throughout the world!
Miss Welch created the clever name to combine all three of these events, "Walk in to nature, with God". She definitely deserves a house point for that!
Unfortunately, we are unable to celebrate these special events in the way we wanted to however, Miss Heffron, Mrs White and Miss Welch (who were going to lead these events) have joined forces to plan fun and exciting activities to mark this special week! There are 3 sets of activities:
To finish off the week in style we have International Day on Friday 22nd May. There are many activities for you to complete to learn about a variety of different countries - or you can choose your own country if you wish. Normally, we would dress up for this day so we want to see as many photos of you as possible! We want to see you in sports shirts, flags, face paints - lots of colour! Please share to our Twitter page @SacredHeartNM.
We are inviting all children to participate in at least 1 of each activity from each section and share what you have done on Twitter @SacredHeartNM. If you are a Prayer Leader, School Council Member or Eco Warrior - we definitely want to you to participate in your roles as leaders - remember that Leadership in Action is a focus for our school!
