Sacred Heart Catholic Primary School is a two-form entry, voluntary aided school in the London Borough of Merton and places are allocated by our governing body once the application process (explained below) is complete. Our Published Admission Number is 30 children per class in Reception and 26 children for Nursery morning and afternoon sessions.
Most children join us in nursery, but others join in different year groups throughout the school year. Please do contact us to ask about availability for in-year admissions. If children are joining us from another school, it is helpful if they bring any records from their previous school when you come to visit us.
We firmly believe that visiting our school is the best way for families to discover what makes Sacred Heart special. Have a look at our Gallery page for some photographs of our Nursery and Reception classes in action, watch our Early Years welcome or 'Learning in Love' video, or download a copy of our prospectus below. We appreciate that applying for schools or nurseries can be daunting so please do contact us if you have any questions about the process.
We hold regular tours for families looking for a Reception or Nursery place for the next academic year. You can book a tour now (using the red button above) or you are welcome to call the office on 020 89420215 during school hours to request a tour. All tours are led by Mrs Dolan-Walsh our Headteacher or another senior member of staff.
Sacred Heart offers flexible, wrap-around childcare for children aged 2 to 11 through our partnership with Kidz Klub breakfast and after-school club and Little Hearts pre-school. Click here for more information.

From 18th March 2020 to 5th June 2022 the Bishops of England and Wales suspended the obligation to attend Mass in England and Wales. As of the 5th June, Pentecost, the Bishops will lift the suspension of the obligation to attend Mass on Sundays and Holy Days. Parents applying for a place at Sacred Heart, under a faith based criteria, will need to complete a Supplementary Application Form. Evidence of practice will be measured by frequency of attendance at Mass as validated by either a priest or minister, as was the case prior to 18th March 2020. These arrangements apply to 2023 admissions and subsequent admissions rounds.
