    35 hours per week, on a split shift basis, 52 weeks per year.


    We are looking to appoint a dedicated and self-motivated site manager who will take pride in the appearance of our school’s environment.


    As Site Manager you will work closely with the School Business Manager. You will share responsibility for the security, safety, general maintenance and cleanliness of our school buildings and grounds to ensure a welcoming and safe learning environment for our whole community.


    The hours of work are a split-shift: 7.00am to 11.00am and 3.00pm to 6.00pm during

    term-time. Flexibility on working patterns during school holidays. This is an all year round position (not term-time only). 26 days’ annual leave (rising to 31 days after 5 years of local authority continuous service).


    ME6 to 7 (depending on experience) £23,400 to £26,995 (pay award pending)

    There are good transport links to the school and free on-site parking.


    You will:

    • Be looking for a new challenge to manage our site, buildings and grounds
    • Be ready for responsibility – taking a lead in Health and Safety and Security
    • Have or be willing to gain knowledge and skills in the following areas: COSHH, Fire Safety, Asbestos Management, Water Management – Legionella, Health and Safety at Work, Manual Handling, Working at Heights, First Aid.
    • Have good organisational skills - carrying out and recording in house statutory tests and arranging regular specialist contractor testing to ensure the school is compliant with statutory requirements
    • Have good DIY skills for general repairs, maintenance and decorating
    • Be competent in the use of IT (full training in our systems will be given)
    • Take pride in our school and be a proactive member of our community including being involved in special events
    • Display good inter-personal skills with children, families, colleagues, governors, contractors and visitors
    • Have a commitment to safeguarding and be dedicated to the safety and wellbeing of children and staff
